Job description

Ibotta is seeking a Marketing Operations Specialist, D2C Lifecycle to join our innovative team and contribute to our mission to Make Every Purchase Rewarding. The Marketing Operations Specialist will be responsible for efficiently executing personalized marketing communications through Braze and Litmus, including email, push notifications, and in-app messaging. The ideal candidate must be organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented while being capable of managing multiple projects across multiple teams and timelines. This position requires a strong technical background.
This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States.

What you will be doing:
  • Support Marketing Operations in the build and execution of D2C Marketing initiatives via the Braze marketing automation tool and internal tools, to optimize user activation and retention
  • Code in-app messages and emails using HTML, CSS, and Javascript
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of lifecycle programs across channels: email, push, in-app message, and cash back reward content
  • Be a liaison between Marketing and Product/Engineering on technical requests and help manage those requests to improve Marketing programs/software, including conducting acceptance-testing
  • Anticipate issues and provide alternative methods of setup or delivery for campaign deployment
  • Work with others on the Marketing Operations team to analyze, detect, and help solve technical problems
  • Identify opportunities to implement standardized processes that improve project performance
  • Regularly learn about new features and capabilities within our tools, crafting use cases and best practices related to new revenue opportunities and OpEx savings
  • Help onboard new tools/programs for the Marketing department
  • Help own and maintain technical documentation to support all campaign development processes and channels

What we are looking for:
  • 2 - 4 years of experience or technical background
  • BA/BS degree related to business or technology
  • Self-taught or professional experience with coding languages: HTML, CSS, and Javascript
  • Strong background with Braze or similar CRM or marketing automation platforms
  • Ability to think creatively and solve complex problems across multiple platforms
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering and/or Product teams
  • Strong copy-editing skills
  • Ability to match Marketing's business requirements with internal product capabilities
  • Self-directed and self-motivated with superior time management skills
  • Experience with the following tools or related tools preferred:

  • Base compensation range: $70,000 - $80,000. Equity is included in overall compensation package. This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience.
