At Mission Point Resort, our housekeeping team ensures every guest enjoys a pristine, welcoming, and comfortable stay. We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support daily operations, inspire our team, and maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.


About the Role

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager assists the Housekeeping Manager in overseeing housekeeping staff with direct supervision of the employee housing, laundry and public areas teams, manages inventory and supplies, and maintains quality and safety standards across the resort. You’ll help ensure every guest arrives to a spotless, inviting environment while supporting a positive, professional, and organized team culture.

You’ll thrive in this role if you have strong leadership skills, enjoy fast-paced operational challenges, and take pride in creating exceptional guest experiences through attention to detail.

What We’re Looking For

Experience: Previous housekeeping, hospitality, or facilities management experience preferred. Experience in staff training, scheduling, and inventory management is a plus.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business, or a related field preferred.

Technical Skills: Experience with Hotel Property Management systems is a huge plus.  Proficiency with scheduling software, Microsoft Office, and basic inventory and supply tracking.

Guest Service: Professional, friendly, and attentive, with strong communication and conflict-resolution skills. Committed to delivering a seamless guest experience through cleanliness and order.

Leadership & Professional Traits: Reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and able to motivate a team while working independently.

Safety & Compliance: Knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and workplace safety protocols. Ability to maintain a safe, secure, and hygienic environment.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs., work outdoors in all kinds of weather, and move throughout a large resort property, including stairs and multi-level buildings.

Location Requirement: Must be able to live and work on Mackinac Island during the season.
