This position’s assigned territory is Michigan. A key metric of success is meeting sales and growth revenue goals, developing, and managing channel partner relationships and providing commercial solutions for customers.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Leads sales calls with key customers in region, proving viable commercial solutions for customers.
  • Develops client relationships to sell products and services of the company within established policy standards.
  • Consistently meet established KPI’s and sales goals
  • Develop ongoing prospects to establish long-term business partnerships through internal and external information sources.
  • Manages and provides support to direct customer accounts, distributors and to their customers within assigned region.
  • Maintains a regional summary on customer profiles, contact dates, customer quotes, follow-ups and general correspondence through Sales Force CRM tools.
  • Develops programs to provide client solutions through establishment of strategic business relationships and identification of key issues or areas to be addressed.
  • Negotiates the best value for products and services sold in accordance with division policies and objectives.
  • Surveys and forecasts major accounts, market trends, and competitive product line threats for region.
  • Plans sales strategy, with the involvement of sales management, maximizing total sales effort to attain sales goals.
  • Assist manager and support team by providing training, serving as a resource for guidance on complex issues and shares best practices across the team.
  • Plan and direct sales activity for assigned region, forecasting, and communicating trends to supporting departments.
  • Participate in trade shows, as assigned by management or identified by RSM as important in meeting sales objectives.
  • Follow up and report on the potential sales leads generated from trade shows, advertisements, and referrals.
  • Coordinates with support personnel to build a team approach aimed at meeting sales objectives and customer satisfaction.
  • Provides appropriate weekly and monthly internal reports to management.
  • Plans travel schedules efficiently to meet budget guidelines as established by management.
  • Understand and ensure customer specific requirements, as related to your function, are met.
  • Performs duties as assigned by management.
  • Acts in alignment with company Code of Business Ethics and Conduct

Qualifications:

  • Ability to understand written and verbal procedures, instructions and inquiries from customers.
  • Ability to understand product and design, drawings, and specifications to effectively convey knowledge to customers.
  • Strong analytical skills. Need to have the ability to make recommendations based on data analysis
  • Strong PC aptitude in a Windows environment required; specifically Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, Power Point). Ability to learn other software packages and maintain an awareness of technology advancements.
  • Ability to interpret customers concept and make appropriate application suggestions.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with Sales Force CRM Software
  • Minimum five years demonstrated success in technical sales and consultative problem solving with multiple value-added components and systems desired.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, Marketing or Business Management or years of sales experience
  • MBA preferred.
