Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Job Type: Part Time & Full Time once hours are available

Pay: $17-19.00 hourly Based on experience, plus mileage reimbursement


Focus Behavioral Health is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated individuals to

join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). DSPs provide direct support to individuals

with Autism and Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities, helping them develop skills, increase

independence, and actively participate in their communities.

potential. As a DSP, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals to achieve personal goals,

build meaningful relationships, and lead fulfilling lives.

Students pursuing degrees in psychology, social work, education, nursing, healthcare, or related

What You’ll Do:

● Support individuals with building skills such as household chores, meal preparation,

independence, and community involvement

● Responsible for all duties related to direct-care and Activities of Daily Life, including

Health & Safety of the individual.

● Help individuals work toward personal goals and reach their full potential.

● Build positive and professional relationships while promoting dignity, respect, and

self-determination.


Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

• Must pass criminal background clearances

• Experience in Human Services or as a caregiver is preferred but not required

• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented mindset

• Strong communication and organizational skills


Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to assist individuals with getting up, walking, and moving by lifting or guiding

when necessary.

• Must be able to lift 75 pounds or more at times.
