Love & Loyalty Home Care is growing our developmental disability services program, and we are looking for a caring, dependable, patient, and positive Direct Support Professional to join our team. What Will You Do?
You will work directly with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities, helping them build skills, participate in their communities, and work toward their individual goals.
Your day may include:
• Helping individuals build daily living and independence skills.
• Supporting social and communication skills.
• Participating in fun and meaningful community activities.
• Helping individuals work toward goals in their Individualized Service Plan.
• Encouraging independence, choice, and confidence.
• Supporting safe and positive relationships.
• Observing and reporting important changes or concerns.
• Completing accurate service documentation.
• Communicating with supervisors, families, and other members of the support team.
• Protecting privacy, dignity, rights, health, and safety.
• Attending required training and supervision.
What Do You Need?
We are looking for someone who is:
• A high school graduate or equivalent.
• Caring, patient, dependable, and responsible.
• Comfortable working with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities.
• Able to communicate clearly and respectfully.
• Comfortable working in community settings.
• Able to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Willing to complete required training and competency requirements.
• Able to successfully complete required background checks.
• Able to obtain and maintain First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification as required.
