What are the core responsibilities for the role?
  • Support Project Managers and Engineers with engineering design tasks for various projects
  •  Perform civil engineering design and associated calculations and interpret plans from other engineering-related disciplines
  •  Apply technical expertise and be able to work with a project team on conventional and unconventional projects
  •  Perform independent research and delegate changing priorities
  •  Adhere to Horrocks safety standards to uphold a safe and efficient environment
  •  Work in a collaborative team environment and deliver accurate work product that is error-free
  •  Maintain a professional attitude and fulfill responsibilities with integrity

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
  •  Have a strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
  •  Prioritize work to meet various project requests and deadlines, answering to various engineers and project managers
  •  Be able to develop designs and documentation using MicroStation ORD or other design software
  •  Manage project data files from various sources
  •  Be proactive and responsive in effectively communicating with colleagues and clients, both in-person and virtually/remotely
  •  Ability to travel and perform fieldwork on occasion
  •  B.S. in Civil Engineering – EIT
  •  0-4+ years of experience in civil design 
  •  Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam
  •  Must be able to work independently with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks, with competing priorities
