Dentologie’s Evanston dental practice is seeking an experienced, engaging Lead Dentist (with at least eight years of practice experience) in its multi‑doctor, high‑performing setting. Our digital, seven‑operatory practice has strong patient flow, an in‑house hygiene team, leading tech, and a stable office staff. Administrative and operational support allows established doctors to focus on providing excellent care to patients, while the practice also provides significant support for all non‑clinical tasks, including HR, finance, marketing & practice development, procurement, and compliance.

• Milling: Glidewell FastMill (zirconia and hybrid options); 3D printing: Glidewell FastPrint (nightguards, retainers, etc.)
• Chairs: DCI 5 series with built‑in electric motor for restorative and endodontic procedures; piezos built into each chair with backup carts.
• Restorative materials: Mostly Kerr brand; burs: Kerr/Coltene/SS White.
• Clear aligner brand: Invisalign; all retainers exclusively Vivera.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation with patients, discuss and treat dental concerns, perform regular cleanings and other preventative procedures, and establish comprehensive treatment plans for better dental hygiene and restorative outcomes.
• Perform dental procedures such as extractions, root canals, and cavity fillings.
• Apply preventative measures for teeth, such as sealants or whitening.
• Prescribe medications such as pain medication or antibiotics.
• Maintain accurate records relating to the patient's oral health and treatments rendered.
• Manage and communicate with the team to provide outstanding care to patients.
• Conduct routine follow‑ups with patients via phone or email.
• Manage patient experiences and expectations to create a positive outcome.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois dental license with at least eight years of practice experience.
• Compliance with all local, state, and federal laws regarding dental and healthcare.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to keep detailed records.
• Comprehensive knowledge of dental procedures, tools, and thorough treatment planning skills.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership qualities.
• Ability to manage dental complications for any procedure performed.
• Implant placement/advanced certification if placing implants or performing specialty work.
• Willingness to adapt to Dentologie’s learning environment and accept constructive feedback and guidance.
