The volunteer organizations all operate under the umbrella of Pasco County Fire Rescue. Zephyrhills Volunteer Fire Department Traveler's Rest Volunteer Fire Department (must live with-in this 55+ community) Tri-Community Volunteer Fire Department West Pasco Volunteer Fire Department Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Volunteer Fire Rescue applicants must complete the following: Ability to pass a background check Ability to pass an NFPA 1582 physical Minimum Requirements Volunteer Fire Rescue applicants must have the following certifications: Valid Driver License Valid BLS/CPR Card Valid Florida Firefighter 1 certification ( or ability to obtain as required) Valid 1st Responder, EMT License ( or ability to obtain) Must live in Pasco County or in a County adjacent to Pasco County ( Hernando, Hillsborough, Pinellas or Polk).
