Job description

Overview
We are seeking highly motivated individuals with a strong work ethic to support Department of Defense (DoD) projects. A Journeyman Analyst with three or more years of demonstrated progressive cost analysis experience in cost analysis principles.
Responsibilities
  • Conducting Independent Cost Estimates (ICEs) for sustainment reviews across multiple programs
  • Support documentation and review meetings with key stakeholders
  • Operate legacy cost estimates for numerous programs and recommend improvement to legacy cost estimates models and documentation
  • Provide cost analyses and analytic support for government clients
  • Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000/Year, DOE

Skills Required
A Journeyman Analyst with three or more years of demonstrated progressive cost analysis experience in cost analysis principles and concepts including, but not limited to:
  • Major weapon systems procurement, operations, and support cost estimating
  • Statistical analysis
  • Cost risk and uncertainty modeling
  • Budget formulation
  • Affordability analyses
  • Cost benefit analysis and other pertinent analytical experience

Estimator/Analyst must have a current SECRET clearance and experience in the following, but not limited to:
  • Technical knowledge of aircraft sustainment both past and current platforms
  • Knowledge will consist of an understanding of the multiple options for system product support and the cost elements affected by different product support strategies
  • Working knowledge of logistics associated with aircraft systems
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel techniques
  • At least 2 years concentrated experience doing cost estimating for Air Force or Department of Defense programs
  • Understand drivers and patterns in Operating and Support (O and S) cost estimates
  • Completed at least one O and S cost estimate with oversight
  • Knowledge of the correct application of inflation and price escalation
  • Must have demonstrated experience using the AFTOC database and be able to pull and understand how to use the data without AFCAA assistance

Education
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
