Location: Norfolk, CT
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–10:00 AM ; 3:00pm-8:00pm
Compensation: $30-35 hour 
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week

Position Overview
A warm, professional family is seeking an experienced live-in nanny to care for two young children (2.5 years and 3 months). The family splits time between a private property in Norfolk, CT and a home in New York City. The household is calm, structured, and screen-free, with a Montessori-inspired approach to learning and daily life. The ideal candidate is nurturing, engaging, and comfortable becoming a trusted part of a household that values consistency and hands-on, curiosity-driven care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, full-time care for a 2.5-year-old and a 3-month-old
  • Support the toddler's daily school routine (in school 9:00 AM–5:30 PM while in the city)
  • Prepare fresh, home-cooked meals for the children 
  • Lead engaging, age-appropriate, Montessori-aligned activities that encourage reading, curiosity, and independent play
  • Maintain a screen-free environment
  • Be comfortable with a small, friendly household dog (labradoodle)
  • Travel with the family as needed

Requirements

  • Prior professional experience caring for infants and toddlers
  • Comfortable in a live-in role and working within a staffed household
  • Experience with (or willingness to follow) Montessori-style, screen-free caregiving
  • Comfortable around dogs
