You will have the opportunity to be part of a very special team for Live Nation's newest Canadian venue, HISTORY Ottawa. A state-of-the-art venue with a capacity of up to 2000 hosting over 180 concerts and private events annually. Responsibilities:

  • Create a warm and inviting environment for all guests

  • Understand guest needs and be able to recommend various spaces throughout the venue to enhance their experience

  • Assist in the nightly sales and execution of VIP spaces

  • Extensive knowledge of venue and event night details to ensure guests experience is maximized

  • Ability to lead and direct guests to various areas of History in a personable and inclusive manner

  • Assist with executing event day operations within premium spaces - guestlist and registration, VIP experiences, handling vendors, talent and meet n' greets

  • Capability to read and assess situations from afar and be able to intercept and help guests if needed

  • Accurate use and understanding of table management systems

  • Communicate with any internal stakeholders on any need to know information regarding guests

  • Assist with any opening or closing tasks as needed

  • Flexibility to perform other job related duties as required

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in a fast paced hospitality environment, VIP hospitality or concierge experience a strong asset

  • Strong preference given to those with a previous sales background in a retail or hospitality environment

  • Experience using a reservation system, familiarity with SevenRooms a strong asset

  • You desire the need to make every guest experience as memorable and special as possible

  • Humble, kind-spirited and reliable with a passionate and confident attitude

  • Ability to juggle and execute competing priorities while remaining calm and clear

  • You have strong attention to detail and customer service skills

  • You have the ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure

  • You possess a strong work ethic with a high sense of responsibility in an ever changing environment

  • You have the ability to work independently and within a team to juggle multiple prioritized tasks

  • Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
