Job description

Job Summary:
Provides direct care for Long-Term Care Residents, primarily Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) and other care conducive to Residents’ well-being, comfort and safety.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Provides care and explanation to the Residents according to the Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) Care Plan

  • Assists with new admits, transfers and discharges

  • Communicates with Nursing Department co-workers and other Departments to meet needs of Residents

  • Answers Residents’ Call Lights promptly

  • Recognizes and responds to verbal and non-verbal communication from Residents

Qualifications and Skills:
Must have and maintain current Nurse Aide Certification in good standing with MS Department of Health, Division of Licensure and Certification
