The Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) will:

Assist our residents with activities of daily living including but not limited to: showers and grooming, patient safety, and charting

Document all patient care in the electronic medical records system

Always promote the highest level of customer experience when interacting with family members, visitors, and co-workers


Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) must have the following:

Certified Nursing Assistant Certification per state requirements

Ability to work every other weekend

Compliant with the state's Health Care Worker Background Check requirements with respect to criminal history 

Requirements

Required/Desired Qualifications:

Education, Training, and Experience:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Must possess a current Michigan Certified Nurse Aide Certification or have completed a Michigan approved CNA training program and are eligible to test. Must be certified within 4 months of hire.

- One year of experience in long-term care, hospice, or healthcare desired (not required).


Specific skills, knowledge, and abilities:

- Must be able to read, write, and perform basic mathematics.

- The ability to verbally communicate with residents, staff, and visitors.

- Shows dependability by being punctual and maintaining good attendance.

- The ability to maintain a safe environment for Residents and co-workers. 

- The ability to transport Residents and equipment as needed. 

- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.


Other Special Requirements:

- Ability to work nights and weekends to accommodate the needs of the guests. 

- Tolerate potential exposure to blood, body tissues, and fluids with occasional exposure to hazardous materials and infectious diseases.

- Manual dexterity required to operate modern office equipment. 

- Ability to travel as needed or assigned.
