Our group is clinically focused, service-oriented, and proud of our strong culture of teamwork and long-standing commitment to excellence in patient care.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, sound clinical judgment, and outstanding communication and collaboration skills. We value professionalism, accountability, and a shared dedication to maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Our radiation oncology program continues to grow and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including Varian Edge (with HyperArc and Identify) and TrueBeam platforms. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional development and meaningful clinical impact.
The successful applicant will report to the chief medical physicist and support the full scope of medical physics responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Treatment planning support and plan review
  • Machine quality assurance
  • Patient-specific QA
  • Practice quality improvement initiatives
  • Support of advanced treatment techniques

What you'll do
  • Perform and document comprehensive quality assurance procedures on all radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators and imaging systems, to ensure optimal performance and accuracy.
  • Conduct routine physics chart checks to meticulously verify that prescribed radiation doses are accurately delivered and accumulated throughout each patient's course of treatment.
  • Execute patient-specific quality assurance procedures to confirm the dosimetric accuracy of complex treatment plans before they are administered.
  • Oversee all physics-related aspects of brachytherapy procedures, including machine quality assurance, treatment planning and providing direct support for treatment delivery.
  • Provide dedicated physics support for special procedures, including the treatment of superficial lesions using the ortho-voltage unit.
  • Establish, develop, and continuously monitor procedures for measuring the performance and quality of all imaging equipment utilized within radiation oncology.
  • Serve as a key resource for the clinical team on complex treatment planning cases, providing expert consultation and educating staff to broaden their knowledge and skills.
  • Act as the Assistant Radiation Safety Officer, advising on new and existing radiation regulations, providing safety in-services and maintaining a precise inventory of all radioactive sources.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot physics-related equipment and software, coordinating with vendors for repairs and upgrades to ensure uninterrupted clinical operations.

Required qualifications
  • Master's degree from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Education Programs (CAMPEP).
  • Medical Physicist (MP) certification via the American Board of Radiology.
