Job description

Reports To: Flourishing Wellspring Drop-in Center Outreach Coordinator
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: The Flourishing Wellspring Drop-in Center Outreach Advocate is responsible
for overseeing daily operations of the Drop-In Center and outreach services. This role ensures access to resources,
including victim support, provides crisis intervention, and maintains accurate data and reporting. The Advocate
upholds the values of Sanctuary and delivers services through a trauma-informed approach.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide information and referral services for individuals coming through the Drop-In Center and
during outreach activities.
2. Provide short-term crisis response services for Drop-In Center and outreach clients.
3. Submit monthly statistical reports for internal and external reporting.
4. Conduct initial screening and intake of newly identified victims of HT and ensure all coordinated
referrals are made.
5. Provide culturally sensitive and trauma-informed services for the individuals entering the Drop-
In Center and during outreach services.
6. Open and close the Drop-in Center during the hours of operation, including locking the facility
after the shift ends.
7. Participate in the Drop-In Center and outreach teams ongoing planning and development process
and tasks.
8. Assists to facilitate trauma, spiritual freedom and art-based groups at the Drop-In Center.
9. Keep up-to-date case notes and ensure client confidentiality in all forms of communication.
10. Performs related duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: none
MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
1. Associate’s degree in human services related field.
2. 1-2 years of experience working directly with victims of commercial sexual exploitation, labor
trafficking or domestic violence or maybe a survivor of sexual exploitation.
3. Must understand the issue of domestic human trafficking and labor trafficking.
4. Professional-level communications skills.
5. Bilingual in Spanish preferred
6. Must possess an appreciation for and support the mission of The Salvation Army.
SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS.
1. The ability to demonstrate compassion for those in less fortunate circumstances and be able to make
decisions that affect individual lives.
2. Collaborative and energetic team player.
3. Effective interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication abilities.
4. Valid driver’s license.
