The Opportunity

The Technology Lead – Finance & HR is a hands-on technology and functional domain lead responsible for enabling and supporting finance and people operations through reliable, well-governed enterprise systems. This role serves as the primary owner of Acumatica ERP finance capabilities and HRIS-related integrations and workflows, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, compliant people processes, and scalable operations. The role partners closely with Finance, HR, Payroll, and the global technology teams while providing day-to-day Tier-2/3 system support and continuous improvement.

This is an IN-OFFICE position, Located in Lake Mary, FL.


What You'll Do


Domain Ownership & Operational Support

  • Serve as the primary functional owner for Finance and HR-related enterprise application domains, including GL, AP/AR, cash management, fixed assets, cost accounting, budgeting inputs, and HR/people system integrations.
  • Provide hands-on Tier-2/3 support for finance and HR systems: troubleshoot incidents, resolve data and configuration issues, and coordinate fixes with global teams and vendors.
  • Support period-end close activities by ensuring system readiness, data accuracy, and timely issue resolution.
  • Partner with HR leaders to support core people workflows enabled by technology (hire-to-pay, time/attendance, payroll inputs, benefits administration, employee master data).

Configuration, Data & Controls

  • Configure and maintain Acumatica finance modules in alignment with corporate standards (chart of accounts, subledgers, posting rules, intercompany, tax setup where applicable).
  • Ensure financial and employee master data quality (vendors, customers, employees, accounts, cost centers) with clear governance and change controls.
  • Enforce SOX and application lifecycle controls: role-based access, segregation of duties, audit evidence collection, and compliant change management practices.
  • Support statutory, regulatory, and internal reporting requirements by ensuring accurate system configuration and transactional integrity.

 Delivery, Integration & Enablement

  • Translate Finance and HR business requirements into clear user stories and change requests with defined acceptance criteria and impacts.
  • Lead UAT, cutover, and hypercare for finance and HR-related system changes; ensure users are trained and ready before go-live.
  • Coordinate integrations between ERP, payroll providers, HRIS, expense management, and banking platforms in partnership with the Integration Lead.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, training materials, and quick-reference guides for finance and HR users.

OTHER DUTIES

Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned. Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Village Farms International, Inc. from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. 


What You Bring


Qualifications

  • 5+ years supporting ERP and/or financial systems in a corporate or manufacturing/regulated environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Acumatica ERP finance modules or comparable mid-market ERP platforms.
  • Strong understanding of core accounting processes, period close, internal controls, and the system impacts of finance operations.
  • Experience supporting HR or payroll-adjacent systems and understanding employee data lifecycle and data privacy expectations.
  • Ability to work on-site in and collaborate closely with Finance and HR leadership.

Preferred

  • Experience in regulated industries (e.g., cannabis, life sciences, food/agriculture).
  • Exposure to SOX compliance, audits, and financial control frameworks.
  • Familiarity with system integrations involving payroll providers, banks, or benefits platforms.
  • Experience coordinating external consultants or managed services providers.
