Job Title: Temperature/ Pyrometry Calibration Technician
Location: Cypress, CA (Servicing Southern California)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday
Pay: $23-33/hour

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Pyrometry Calibration Technician to perform Instrument Calibration, Temperature Uniformity Surveys (TUS), and System Accuracy Tests (SAT) at customer sites. This role requires AMS2750 expertise and strong customer service skills in industrial environments.


Responsibilities:

  • Calibrate thermocouples, furnace/oven controllers, recorders, data loggers, SAT instruments, and pressure/vacuum gauges.
  • Perform TUS, SAT, and instrument calibrations per industry standards.
  • Implement AMS2750 and aerospace pyrometry specifications.
  • Prepare thermocouples, wire survey racks, and install process sensors.
  • Apply correction factors and troubleshoot furnace control systems.
  • Generate accurate calibration reports and certificates.
  • Ensure compliance with NIST traceability, ISO/IEC 17025, and ANSI/NCSL Z540 standards.


Requirements and Skills:

  • Calibration training required; PMEL/TMDE/DOD training preferred.
  • Experience with ISO 17025 and precision measurement equipment.
  • Strong customer service and computer skills.
  • Valid CA Driver’s License, vehicle, and insurance (mileage reimbursed).
