Job Description:

Under the direction of the Director of Restaurants the incumbent is responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operation of the Room Service and Mini Bar operations in order to ensure a positive guest experience. Incumbent will be responsible for two hotel towers including 1,271 hotel rooms throughout the resort.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures.
  • Ensure service is carried out in accordance with established policy and that staff maintains the highest levels of guest service.
  • Ensure Food & Beverage policies and procedures are adhered to by staff members.
  • Ensure sanitation compliance throughout restaurants.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints in a timely manner.
  • Ensure profit goals are met in assigned outlets.
  • Ensure proper inventory par levels of various food and beverage items.
  • Conduct personal behavior and select, train, coach, counsel, appraise and retain direct reports who consistently perform actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company's Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion and Dedication.
  • Develop department members' knowledge and skills through education, training, coaching, corrective counseling, etc.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels to best manage labor costs while maintaining outstanding guest service.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service bydiscreetly notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations.
  • Demonstrate commitment to assisting in the development of Seminole Tribe members participating in the Tribal Career Development program and, when a Seminole Tribe member's assignment falls within your direct area of responsibility, act as a personal mentor/career advisor to the Tribe Member and submit progress reports and information to the Director of Tribal Development.
  • Ensure prompt and discreet notification to appropriate management and/or the Ethics Hotline of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.
  • Stays abreast of the current trends and practices within area of responsibility and communicates pertinent information to management, peers, direct reports and team members as appropriate.
  • Promotes positive guest/employee relations.
  • Other assignments as directed.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required and five (5) years of Room Service management experience in a large scale hotel or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelors in Restaurant Management or related field and casino experience is preferred. Basic wine knowledge required.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the restaurants, including food and beverage service and warehouse areas.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.
