Job description


Cordial Health is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to serve as a Regional Behavioral Health Clinical Lead across Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx.
This full-time leadership position combines direct psychiatric care with provider mentorship, clinical quality oversight, and collaboration with clinical and operational leadership. The Regional Lead will help support providers, improve clinical consistency, and ensure the delivery of high-quality psychiatric services throughout the assigned region.
This position offers a stable weekday schedule with no weekend work.
Responsibilities
• Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, treatment planning, medication management, and follow-up care as needed
• Mentor and support psychiatric nurse practitioners and physician assistants throughout the assigned region
• Review complex cases and provide clinical guidance that promotes safe, evidence-based care
• Help standardize clinical documentation, treatment practices, and quality expectations
• Support provider onboarding, training, case collaboration, and professional development
• Partner with medical, clinical, and operational leadership on quality and performance-improvement initiatives
• Monitor clinical performance and identify opportunities to improve patient outcomes
• Build collaborative relationships with physicians, nursing staff, therapists, social workers, and facility leadership
• Provide in-person regional coverage when needed across Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation
Requirements
• Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) or Physician Assistant (PA) with significant psychiatric experience
• Active and unrestricted New York license
• Active DEA registration required
• Previous clinical leadership, provider mentorship, or team-lead experience required
• Strong expertise in psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, psychopharmacology, and treatment planning
• Experience serving adult and geriatric patients in skilled nursing, long-term care, rehabilitation, or post-acute settings strongly preferred
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx
• Ability to balance clinical responsibilities with leadership and provider support
• Excellent leadership, communication, organization, clinical reasoning, and relationship-building skills
