Their responsibilities often include cleaning, performing minor repairs, monitoring onboard systems, and ensuring the vessel is safe and in good working order. They may also be responsible for managing supplies, handling docking procedures, and sometimes assisting with guest services if the boat is used for charters or rentals. This role is ideal for those with boating experience and a flexible lifestyle, as caretakers must be available to address issues as they arise. Employers range from private yacht owners to marinas and charter companies.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a live in boat caretaker?
