Chicago, IL

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative AI Solutions Engineer who possesses deep expertise in GenAI-based application development leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT, Claude, and open-source models. The ideal candidate will also have a strong foundation in test automation, including UI, API, and performance testing.

This hybrid role will involve building intelligent, automated workflows using GenAI, integrating with enterprise systems, and ensuring robust quality through automation frameworks. You'll work closely with product managers, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and cutting-edge solutions.

GenAI-Based Development

  • Design and implement GenAI-powered applications using multiple LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere, Hugging Face).
  • Develop intelligent workflows, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering strategies for business use cases.
  • Integrate LLMs into enterprise systems and services via APIs and SDKs.
  • Optimize model usage for cost, performance, and reliability.
  • Stay current with LLM trends, updates, and responsible AI practices.

Automation Testing

  • Develop and maintain automated test suites for UI, API, and performance testing.
  • Implement test strategies using tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright (UI), Postman, RestAssured (API), and JMeter, Gatling, or k6 (Performance).
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Identify test gaps and improve test coverage for AI-based applications and traditional software components.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with QA, Product, and Engineering to define quality standards and performance benchmarks.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and reviews.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience in software development or test automation roles.
  • Hands-on experience with GenAI and LLMs (e.g., OpenAI GPT, Claude, LLaMA, Mistral).
  • Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar programming languages.
  • Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, RestAssured, etc.).
  • Experience in API testing (REST, GraphQL) and performance/load testing tools.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CircleCI).
  • Understanding of prompt engineering, RAG (retrieval-augmented generation), and vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, Chroma).
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum practices.
