Job description

JOB TITLE: A.V. Technician

DEPARTMENT: Sales 

POSITION OVERVIEW: 


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Audio Visual (AV) Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of audio, video, and lighting equipment to ensure high-quality presentations and events. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused approach.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Equipment Setup and Operation:
    • Install, test, and operate audio, video, and lighting equipment for meetings, conferences, live events, and other productions.
    • Ensure proper cabling, positioning, and configuration of equipment for optimal performance.
    • Monitor and adjust sound and visual settings during events for clear and professional output.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
    • Perform routine maintenance on AV equipment to ensure reliability and performance.
    • Diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively, minimizing disruptions.
    • Keep an inventory of equipment and report any damages or needs for replacements.
  • Collaboration and Support:
    • Work closely with event planners, IT teams, and other stakeholders to meet project requirements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be 21 or older (mandatory)
  • Must have previous experience in Audio Visual for 1 year or more
  • Must have a flexible work schedule to include mornings, nights, weekend, and some holidays
  • Familiarity with Outlook
