As a full time, nonexempt Physical Therapy Assistant with Optum Health Rehabilitation Services team at Parrish Medical Center and Parrish Healthcare, you will be responsible for administering Physical Therapy modalities of treatment as supervised by the staff Physical Therapist. You will also administer treatments and physical agents as directed by the staff Physical Therapist, after the PT has first evaluated the patient and assisted with restoration of patient functionality to prevent disability following injury, disease of physical disability. You will be helping patients to reach their maximum performance and level of function while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. Physical Therapist Assistants participate in operational aspects of the department, maintain performance improvement activities within the department, and participate in CQI.
Schedule: This full time, nonexempt position is scheduled to work 40 hours per week in an Inpatient setting. Position may float to outpatient setting as needed

About the Rehabilitation Department: Department core hours are Monday-Sunday from 8:00am-4:300pm and as needed to support acute care hospital rehab staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Administering modalities as directed by a Physical Therapist
  • Administer treatments and physical agents
  • Participate in operational aspects of the department
  • Assist in other locations as needed

Required Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree (AS) in Physical Therapy Assisting

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
