Scalehouse Attendent /Dispatcher - Night Shift

That's why Sil Industrial Minerals is Western Canada's leader in industrial sands, blasting abrasives and equipment.

Sil Industrial Minerals is now hiring a Scalehouse Attendent /Dispatcher for our sand plant near Bruderheim, AB.

Rate: $25.13

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating the scheduling of drivers, trucks, and freight between locations.
  • Scale loads and identify product correctly prior to invoicing.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, drivers, and coworkers.
  • Preparing quotes, invoicing, preparing payroll, and filing on a day to day basis.

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience dispatching is required;
  • Aggregate experience is an asset;
  • Positive and professional attitude is required;
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work individually, as well as on a team;
  • Ability to manage stress in a constantly changing work environment;
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation;
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test;
  • Strong organizational skills with an ability to multi-task and work independently.

Shifts for this roll  nights and weekends. Plant operates on a 24 hour, 7 day a week schedule.

This is NOT a camp position. Candidates must live in the area.

Pre-employment:

  • Drug and alcohol testing
  • Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation
  • Mask Fit Testing
  • Baseline Testing (respiratory)
