Job description

AP/CP Pathologist Tyler, TX A leading healthcare organization is seeking a full-time AP/CP Pathologist to join a community hospital-based practice in Tyler, Texas. Requirements: Board certification in AP or AP/CP is required, with preferred subspecialty training in surgical and/or cytopathology. Candidates with expertise in hematopathology, gynecologic pathology, or gastrointestinal/liver pathology will receive special consideration.

Both experienced pathologists and fellows are encouraged to apply. Applicants must hold a medical degree and be eligible for an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Texas. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a solid work ethic.

The practice includes a team of seven pathologists serving the largest community hospital network in Northeastern Texas. The hospital system maintains a collaborative relationship with a regional oncology provider and manages a diverse case mix, including hematopathology and solid tumor cases such as head and neck, gynecologic, breast, lung, gastrointestinal, and genitourinary pathology. The Tyler metropolitan area has a population of approximately 200,000 and is located within two hours of Dallas and less than four hours from Austin and Houston.

The region features a warm, temperate climate with abundant greenery, rolling hills, and higher-than-average rainfall. Tyler offers a low cost of living and strong housing value, making it an attractive place to live.
