Job Overview

  • Job Title: Local Class A CDL Truck Driver
  • Type: Full-time or Part-time (Local, Home Daily)
  • Platforms: Amazon Relay / Uber Freight
  • Shift: Day or night shifts available (typically 8 to 13 hours per day)

Main Responsibilities

  • Drive Safely: Operate a commercial semi-truck to move loads between local distribution centers, rail yards, or customer locations.
  • Use Apps: Manage load assignments, check-ins, and proof of delivery using the Amazon Relay or Uber Freight mobile apps.
  • Inspect Equipment: Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer to check brakes, tires, and lights.
  • Drop and Hook: Drop off full trailers and hook up empty ones, with minimal need for touching or unloading freight.
  • Communicate: Report any delays, traffic issues, or mechanical problems immediately.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • License: Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 to 12 months of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
  • Record: Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
