Position Summary:
AAA United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Mobile, Alabama that is an international pioneer in the aerospace industry. They are a leader in designing, manufacturing and delivering aerospace products, services and solutions to customers on a global scale. A commercial aircraft manufacturer, with Space and Defense as well as Helicopters Divisions, they are the largest aeronautics and space company in Europe and a worldwide leader. We are looking for an Quality Control Inspector who is seeking their next opportunity in a complex and ever-changing work environment!
The Quality Control Inspector ensures that aircraft maintenance and repair work complies with FAA regulations, OEM specifications, and company policies. This role is responsible for performing detailed inspections of aircraft, components, and documentation to maintain airworthiness standards and promote safety.
Essential Functions:
  • Implement technical inspections in the production process of the aircraft in the context of the authorization of manufacturer operational requirements.
  • Prepare and perform visual, incoming, first article, and final inspections during aircraft manufacture for compliance with design specifications, customers and certification requirements.
  • Detail the technical inspections performed in the multiple production orders SAP-based and the relevant SAP-based IT systems by inspection marks and complete other aircraft documents as well as prepare first article inspection reports, as applicable
  • Support and verify production and Customer support groups maintain high standards while working tasks on the aircraft and participate in Quality Survey requests.
  • Assist with compiling technical data for non-conformance to launch the NCMS-based quality discrepancy sheets for professional assessment in accordance with the manufacturing engineering documentation.
  • Document all the results of the technical inspections in the /NCMS/SAP based IT system.
  • General understanding in using SAP IT documentation and reporting systems.
  • Perform reviews of work packs to validate process adherence and track and maintain components during the attestation process.
  • Be familiar with the use of calibrated tooling for inspections.
Requirements:
  • 3 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in an aviation company with an emphasis on mechanical, electrical and structural components and assemblies.
  • Previous experience in a mechanic or technician role is highly desirable
  • Airline and/or MRO experience is desirable
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: FAA Airframe & Powerplant License, an A&P license including inspection authorization is preferred.
