Job Title Quality Control Inspector Location St. Inigoes, MD Position Type Full-Time, Non-Exempt Pay Range $33 - $40 / hour Key Responsibilities Inspects all phases of a variety of goods, services, or operations for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing on-going work for compliance with contractual provisions. Implements quality control and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations. Ensures all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed in a satisfactory manner. Specifies areas to be inspected (scheduled and unscheduled) and how often inspections will be accomplished. Communicates deficiencies to proper persons, maintains Quality Control files, and documents results of all inspections. Conducts thorough reviews of quality requirements to identify the controls, processes, skills, fixtures, tools, and test equipment necessary to assure product quality. Updates inspection and testing techniques, instrumentation, and manufacturing methods and processes. Work Conditions Conditions will vary but most work will be conducted indoors. Position will include: 45% standing, 20% bending, 15% reaching, 5% sitting, 5% walking, and 10% lifting. Requirements HS Diploma, formal technical training a plus. Minimum of three (3) years experience inspecting to design specifications, either as a QC inspector or fabrication technician responsible for inspecting projects for compliance with design tolerances. Prior QC Inspector experience desired. Proficient with measuring tools and equipment used to perform quality control and compliance inspections of manufactured parts and materials. Current Maryland Driver's License required; must be able to be insured through company's vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment. U.S. Citizenship required and you must already have or be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to start date and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment. All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.
