Job description

The purpose of the Beautification Team Member position is to assist with GCU's Janitorial department in an effort to keep campus buildings and grounds clean and beautiful like our campus.

Responsibilities Related to Purpose:

  • Respond to campus calls of litter pick, event clean up, stadium clean up, janitorial tasks as necessary.
  • Fulfilling assignment as directed by Janitorial Department
  • Completing janitorial tasks campus wide with a heavy concentration with events.
  • Assist with other details as assigned by a Janitorial Supervisor or Manager.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will have a positive, friendly, and outgoing personality.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Must be punctual.
  • Must be able to work outside 90% of shift.
  • Must be self-starter and work unsupervised.
  • Willingness to learn and able to follow procedures.
  • Responsible, trustworthy, approachable, and assertive.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel are a plus.
  • Driver's license necessary.
  • Available for weekend shifts necessary.

Education:

Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy.

Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:

  • Enrolled as a full-time student at GCU in a Bachelor's or Master's program.
  • Maintain a 2.0 GPA as a bachelor's-level student or a 3.0 GPA as a master's-level student.
  • Maintain good financial standing with the University.

You may be subject to termination if you fail to meet the minimum requirements.
