Kellogg, Hansen, Todd, Figel & Frederick, P.L.L.C. is seeking a qualified Litigation and Trial Support Specialist to support case teams on all aspects of litigation support including eDiscovery, data management, and the set up and support of local and remote trial offices. The candidate must be confident, professional, anticipate needs, take initiative, be detail-oriented, work with minimum supervision, be dependable, thrive under pressure and possess excellent technical skills. This position requires a high level of discretion for confidential work and information, and the ability to appropriately handle critical information and sensitive situations.
Primary Responsibilities:
eDiscovery and Data Management
• Litigation database management.
• Assist with data processing, loading into databases, imaging, and performing quality control on deliverables.
• Promote and assist with eDiscovery and Litigation Support best practices on topics including preservation, collection, processing, review, and production.
• eDiscovery vendor coordination.
• Provide support and assistance on a variety of litigation support issues.
• Train users on litigation support and eDiscovery platforms as needed.
Trial Preparation and Support
• Provide technical support for case teams, including setting up trial offices and technology
• Coordinate logistics to ensure power, networking, and audio/visual requirements are met within trial office space and courtrooms.
• Trial vendor coordination.
• Travel with and assist trial teams with trial site logistics.
• Provide support and assistance for overall trial site needs.
• Coordinate dry runs, equipment tests, and troubleshooting prior to opening statements or hearings.
• Occasional trial/hearing presentation and support.
• Manage trial equipment inventory, shipping, receiving, unpacking, and repacking for each trial site, ensuring adequate supplies for trial teams.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years' hands-on experience in litigation and trial technology support. Experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
• Proficiency with legal software (Relativity/RelativityOne, CaseMap, iManage, O365, etc.), database management, and a strong understanding of hardware, software, and network issues are essential.
• Must demonstrate excellent organizational, communication, inter-personal and multi-tasking skills.
• Willingness to travel for the duration of trials and work overtime, weekends, and occasional holidays is required.
• The candidate must possess the ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff and external contacts and work as an effective team member, meet tight deadlines with the flexibility to handle a variety of tasks and shift priorities simultaneously.
