Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal specializing in Medical Malpractice and Litigation to join our dynamic legal team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting complex litigation cases, managing legal documentation, and conducting thorough research to ensure the success of our medical malpractice defense cases. Your energetic approach and strong organizational skills will help streamline case workflows, facilitate effective communication, and uphold the highest standards of legal support.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys with case preparation by organizing medical records, legal documents, and evidence related to medical malpractice and personal injury claims
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies across various practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, workers' compensation law, and more
  • Draft, review, and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, contracts, and correspondence with precision and clarity
  • Manage case files using document management systems; ensure all records are accurate, up-to-date, and properly filed
  • Support project management efforts by tracking deadlines, court dates, and procedural requirements to ensure timely filings and compliance
  • Perform document review and data entry tasks efficiently while maintaining high levels of accuracy in a fast-paced law office environment

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in paralegal studies or paralegal certificate preferred.
  • Paralegal experience with a strong background in litigation, especially within medical malpractice or personal injury law
  • Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis; familiarity with UCC law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, securities law, family law, landlord-tenant law, immigration law, estate planning, environmental law or other practice areas is a plus

  • Demonstrated research capabilities using Westlaw or LexisNexis; ability to analyze complex legal information accurately
