Job description

Skilled Trades Services is currently looking for a HVAC Service Technician for Chicago, IL. Entry Level HVAC Service Technician Title: Residential HVAC Service Technician Department: Service Reports to: Owner/Service Manager Salary: Pay is between $25-32 depending on experience. Job Summary: Provide maintenance and repair service on residential heating and air conditioning systems according to company standards.

Diagnose, assess, and repair issues with furnaces and/or boilers. Heat pumps are a plus but not required. Minimum requirements: Minimum 1-3 years of residential maintenance and repair.

Qualifications: Have general knowledge of HVAC residential equipment Valid clean driver's license, clear background and drug test Universal EPA certification within 3 months of employment Ability to operate power and hand tools Willingness to invest in tools used in the service of HVAC equipment Have basic HVAC tools a plus Willingness to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, holidays, and On-call Willingness to invest time in training and development Ability to record work order details including action taken or needed Demonstrate Mechanical aptitude Ability to explain, recommend, and answer customer's questions with confidence Prioritize and manage daily workload to ensure successful completion Strong interpersonal skills Energetic personality Ability to work independently On the job training provided. Company vehicle provided for service request completion.
