POSITION SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance tasks to support the upkeep, safety, and functionality of the community's buildings and grounds. This is an entry-level position ideal for someone looking to grow their skills in building maintenance. Duties include basic repairs, general building upkeep, and assisting with routine preventative maintenance. The Maintenance Team Member plays an active role in safety compliance and fostering positive interactions with our residents and staff, contributing to a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment that supports the overall quality of life for our residents.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
  • Performs a variety of general maintenance tasks, including minor repairs to walls, floors, furniture, fixtures, appliances, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Assists with carpet cleaning, floor care, and general housekeeping tasks, including preparing resident apartments to ensure a clean and welcoming environment
  • Supports the maintenance of essential building systems such as HVAC, water systems, and emergency generators, and participates in routine preventative maintenance
  • Ensures safety compliance, follows proper safety procedures, and helps maintain a hazard-free environment for residents and staff
