Job description

Bartenders are responsible for positive guest interaction while accurately mixing and serving beverages to guests and servers in a friendly and efficient manner. At all times, bartenders are expected to be attentive to the guests’ needs and making them feel welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed.
* Make fantastic drinks
* Greet guests and take beverage orders from the servers or directly from guests.
* Handle an assigned house bank and follow all cash handling procedures.
* Manage stock levels, inventory, and equipment.
* Serve snacks or food items to guests seated at the bar when appropriate.
* Keep bar area clean
* Develop customer relations/meet guest expectations
* Manage costs (know how to pour consistently)
* Follow company policies and applicable laws

Requirements/Responsibilities

* Previous bartending experience / training
* Excellent oral communication skills
* Positive interpersonal skills – be a good listener
* Able to maintain good knowledge of food and beverage products, menus, and promotions
* The ability to multi-task and work well in a high-volume work environment
* Fluent in English and proficiency in other languages is a plus
* Bartender’s license
* Must have, or be able obtain a valid food handler card in first 30 days
* High energy
* Passion for the business
* An understanding of health & safety and food safety regulations (Serve Safe)
* Basset certified or Equivalent Alcohol training. MUST HAVE CURRENT CLASS B LIQUOR LICENSE FOR CITY OF MILWAUKEE
Bartender is generally a part time job; can be full-time.
Prior experience as bartender, barman, barkeep, barmaid, mixologist, is highly desirable.
