Responsible for the transporting of supplies and food from Central Commissary/Warehouse/ Catering to satellite units or locations. May be required to set up some catering events. Takes daily cash deposits and change orders from each location to the Bursar's office daily. This person will work with management and co-workers to instill and foster the values of the Villanova Mission Statement and the Dining Services Mission Statement. This person will focus on Dining Services' core values: safety and sanitation, friendly, courteous service, quality, meticulous attention to detail and safety.

Duties and Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Transport food, equipment, supplies, uniforms and paperwork to and from all units on campus and occasionally off campus as needed. Must follow time schedules provided for delivery routes. Delivers all daily cash deposits to the Bursar's Office and is responsible for delivering all change orders to units as needed.
- Responsible for loading and unloading food and supplies prior to transporting and from vendor trucks as needed. This includes catering set ups and drop offs as scheduled.
- Responsible for picking up, receiving and transporting liquor from the Wine and Spirit store for catered events. Therefore, incumbent must be of legal age to handle and transport liquor in accordance with PA State Law.
- Responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness of the trucks and coordinates all preventative maintenance and repairs for all Dining Service vehicles. This includes inspecting the vehicles prior to operating.
- Trains new drivers as required to be in compliance with risk management and safe driving standards.
NONESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned.
- Transport personnel between units as needed.
- Required to work special events which will include weekends and late nights as mandatory overtime
Minimum Qualifications:
Formal Education:
Specific Job Knowledge:
- Valid PA Driver License required with a good driving record and no traffic violations.
- Must be able to meet and maintain VU driving privileges as outlined by Villanova's Risk Management's Motor Vehicle Record Policy for Driver's of University Vehicles.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation
Minimum Work Experience:
- 2-3 years of successful job experience

- Ability to work independently under general supervision

- Ability to prioritize and be flexible as needed

Equipment Knowledge:
- General knowledge of vehicle maintenance (tires, oil, pumping gas)

Salary Posting Information:
This position falls within hourly grade 10 and the range is $18.44-24.25/hr. The final salary will be determined with consideration of several factors including the selected candidate's qualifications, department budget availability, market data, and internal equity.
