Job description

Role and Responsibilities - Specific duties include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for maintenance and repair of industrial equipment.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machines and equipment, including all electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ensure that all required preventative maintenance activities are completed.
  • Use diagnostic tools and equipment to detect and resolve issues with production equipment
  • Maintain and update equipment manuals, schematics, and maintenance records.
  • Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and production staff to identify and resolve issues with automated production equipment.
  • Assist with the installation, commissioning, and testing of new automated production equipment.
  • Adhere to all safety and quality regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of scheduled and completed work.

Skill and Education requirements:

· Certificate or diploma in an industrial maintenance or automation program or equivalent experience

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in automation and maintenance of production equipment, preferably in the automotive industry

· Strong electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills

· Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLC), variable frequency drives (VFD), and Human Machine Interface (HMI)

· Experience with robotic systems and automation controls

· Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics and blueprints.

· Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve issues with production equipment.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication and collaboration skills.

· Strong attention to detail, time management and organization skills

· Hi-lo experience is a plus, can train on site.
