Job description

Position Summary:

As a Mechanical Engineer at Engine & Accessory, you will lead the creation of detailed designs, calculations, and technical documentation to support the production of our custom tank trucks. You’ll collaborate with sales, engineering, and production teams to develop and refine vehicle designs that meet customer requirements and manufacturing best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

· Create design layouts, technical calculations, and part drawings based on customer specifications and project requirements.

· Collaborate with sales staff to translate customer needs into engineered solutions.

· Produce accurate bills of material (BOMs), assembly books, and support documentation for production.

· Support production with clear assembly instructions and provide guidance on best practices for efficient manufacturing.

· Program and troubleshoot automotive-type controllers using diagnostic software and a laptop interface.

· Analyze manufacturing processes and recommend improvements for design and assembly efficiency.

· Assist the Senior Engineer with special projects, technical challenges, and engineering support as required.

· Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering/technology field.

· Minimum 3 year relevant engineering experience.

· Proficient in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.

· Ability to interpret and create hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics and technical drawings.

· Working knowledge of how manufacturing processes influence product design and performance.

· Understanding of automotive electrical systems, including CAN bus technology and controller integration.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills.

· Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
