Job description

Role Title: Tester
Location: Hartford, CT
Duration: 3 Months
Job Description:
  • 6 years of relevant QA technical experience coupled with experience developing Test Scenarios using requirements and design documents
  • Must be proficient in IBM RPT (Rational Performance Tester) Version 7.5 and higher.

Must have expertise in:
a. RPT Test script creation and enhancements
b. Modifying existing RPT scripts
c. RPT Performance test simulations (load, endurance, stress tests etc.)
d. Direct scripting employing protocols HTTP, HTTPS, Web Services
e. RPT test result analysis
f. Bulk test data generation and maintenance with RPT data pools
• JEE 6 based project experience is preferable
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve IBM RPT issues
• Good Troubleshooting skills and quickly able to identify short fall in CPU, disk I/O bandwidth, memory, or network IO bandwidth on Linux, Windows or Unix systems.
• Hands on experience in generating custom templates for performance test reports.
• Application Performance Monitoring experience on tools similar to ITCAM, Splunk, New Relic etc. preferable.
• Soap UI and Apache JMeter experience is a plus
• Good Understanding of Performance Tuning & Testing concepts
• A strong working knowledge of automated testing tools used to create functional test scenarios- is a plus
• Should be comfortable writing simple to mid-level SQL queries
• Good presentation and communication (verbal and written) skills for handling complex technical situations
