The client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Natural/ADABAS Developer to join the METSS System Support Team. This role is responsible for supporting, enhancing, and maintaining Mississippi''s statewide Child Support System while contributing to modernization initiatives that integrate newer technologies and automate existing business processes.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with Natural/ADABAS development, Linux environments, enterprise application development, and large-scale government systems. This position offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical applications that directly support statewide child support services.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using Natural/ADABAS.
  • Support and maintain the statewide Child Support System (METSS).
  • Analyze business and technical requirements to deliver scalable, reliable solutions.
  • Develop batch and online Natural applications utilizing JCL and/or SCL.
  • Design and implement system enhancements and technology integrations.
  • Provide technical expertise on application and system architecture.
  • Recommend process improvements and system enhancements.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and user guides.
  • Train end users and provide production support.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call support schedule.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile development practices.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor''s degree (preferred).
  • 10+ years of Natural programming and ADABAS database development.
  • Experience running Natural processes in Batch (JCL/SCL) and Online environments.
  • Experience analyzing, designing, and developing large-scale applications on Linux platforms.
  • Experience supporting Automated Child Support Systems.
  • Ability to provide subject matter expertise on enterprise system architecture.
  • Experience recommending system and process improvements.
  • Experience developing and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Experience training end users.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
