Candidate will be allowed to work mostly remote. All work – remote included – must be done in wisconsin. Candidate must be a currently reside in wisconsin. Candidates not currently located in wisconsin will not be considered and should not be submitted. (candidate must work CST business hours)
 
Our direct client has an opening for a WebSphere Administrator # 129675. This position is for 12+ months, with option of extension, and will be worked mostly remote within the State of WI (Candidate must work CST business hours).

Job Description:
  • Top Required Skills & Years of Experience: (5+ years)
  • Installation, maintenance, administration and monitoring of the WebSphere Software in a multi-platform environment (Linux and Windows).
  • Proactive resolution of problems and/or alerts received by various monitoring and management systems.
  • Resolution of connectivity problems, assisting users, and debugging problems.
  • Hands-on technical experience in support of software tools such as WebSphere Application Server and WebSphere Portal.
 
Nice to Have Skills:
  • Provide a broad range of technical skills in support of all WebSphere customers.
  • Training and/or experience with scripting tools such as Bash, Korn, and Jython.
  • Knowledge of change management best practices in a complex hosting environment.
 
Description:
Responsibilities:
  • Provide support for various departments’ applications running on WebSphere and IBM WebSphere MQ.
  • Responsible for the installation, maintenance, support, and configuration of hardware and software.
  • Responsible for application deployments.
  • Maintain and update infrastructure documentation.
  • Complete implementation of security policies and filters associated with the tools.
  • Provide additional troubleshooting support.

Qualifications/Required Skills:
