Job description

Job Description We are seeking a Senior C#/.NET Engineer to build backend services that communicate with connected devices and equipment over network-based protocols such as TCP/IP and sockets. The work involves processing live device data, maintaining reliable connections, and building scalable services in Linux environments. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain backend services using C# and .NET Build software that communicates with devices, gateways, controllers, and external systems Develop and support TCP/IP, socket-based, and persistent network connections Process real-time, streaming, or telemetry data from multiple sources Use messaging and event-driven technologies to distribute data between services Design secure, scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems Troubleshoot complex issues involving networking, concurrency, performance, and distributed applications Collaborate with DevOps teams on cloud deployments, CI/CD, monitoring, and production support Own solutions from technical design through implementation and production operation Qualifications 7+ years of professional C#/.NET development experience Strong experience developing and troubleshooting .NET services in Linux environments Experience with TCP/IP, sockets, persistent connections, or network-based service development Experience processing real-time, streaming, telemetry, or device-generated data Familiarity with messaging or pub/sub technologies such as Kafka, MQTT, RabbitMQ, or similar platforms Strong understanding of asynchronous programming, concurrency, retries, and failure handling Experience building secure services using authentication, authorization, encryption, certificates, or secure communications Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or another cloud platform Strong production-debugging and problem-solving skills Preferred Experience Connected devices, IoT, industrial systems, telecommunications, logistics, or other real-time platforms Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized services High-throughput or event-driven architectures Device gateways, equipment communication, or machine-to-machine systems Monitoring, logging, tracing, and observability tools This is a hybrid opportunity with two days onsite each week.
