Job Description


Responsibilities
         Coordinate, plan and deliver IT Infrastructure in line with global team Manage delivery of Linux systems as part of global IT projects
         Build the servers in standalone and Cluster environment
         Understand the application that is used by client for the server delivery and follow the same along with the process defined.
         Participate in Disaster Recovery solution architecture and related activities
         Configure new physical and virtual servers while documenting the implementation.
         Administer the SAN attached Blade and Rack-mounted server infrastructure.
         Administer IBM rack-mounted and Blade servers along with firmware upgrades
         Manage and administer GPFS clustered environments to meet HPC and business needs
         Gather requirements for builds and configuration changes, and assist in revising those requirements to fit with corporate standards.
         Collect, gather and analyze CPU, memory and storage and network I/O performance metrics as needed
         Responding to problem tickets for issues reported by clients and provides customer second and third level IT Infrastructure support via telephone, e-mail, and other tools.
         Follow standard operating procedures while maintaining validated servers.
         Assist with the installation of off-the-shelf applications and document the installation procedures
         Oversee the maintenance/monitoring of systems within the environment to ensure optimal performance, to determine system upgrade/replacement schedules, and to meet established Service Level Agreement (SLA) commitments.
         Learn to operate system management and monitoring tools to identify and assist in resolving potential security, reliability, and capacity and performance issues.
         Participate in evaluation of server hardware and software. Research solutions and formulate recommendations.
         Provide timely status updates to IT management

Qualifications

Skills/Knowledge Required:
         Thorough knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (v.5, v.6 and v.7) and related technologies in a multi-domain environment.
         IBM Blade server, System x and RAID administration is strongly desired.
         Hands-on experience with IBM storage environments (SAN,NAS) and multipathing on Linux servers
         Strong working knowledge of Linux and Redhat in particular
         Experience with using and configuring Active Directory authentication within Redhat, including establishing login rights and sudo permissions, preferably using
         Centrify Experience on Cobbler Server Setup and Configuration Knowledge on Linux Kickstart process
         Experience in writing scripts to automate system configuration and maintenance, including shell scripts, python, and other languages as needed.
         Working knowledge of virtualization and VMware environments, including builds of Redhat servers through templates.
         Knowledge of Cloud Technologies (Private/Public), including configuration and troubleshooting automation of VM builds Knowledge of working with, building and configuring Red hat servers within AmClienton AWS EC2
         Experience work on GPFS environment and extensive knowledge on GPFS HPC setup.
         General understanding of Networking and Network Security Prevailing Red Hat Certifications a plus Organizational "Fit" Considerations:
         The candidate must be flexible to take on different tasks at short notice and have the ability to function in cross-functional team setup that consists of different disciplines.
         Understanding and experience in working in a multinational environment
         Ability to take ownership of an issue, problem, or project and see it through to completion.
         Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills in English are needed Candidate must be prepared to work for 24x7 support.
         Candidate must possess: Work for 24x7 support.
         Excellent Communication Skills Problem Determination & analysis skills Excellent team working & Positive Attitude Knowledge of multiple technologies will be a strong plus Ability to quickly assimilate technical & non-technic.
