Position: Linux Administrator
Location: Sunnyvale, CA (On-site)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Head of Infrastructure
We're seeking a highly skilled Linux Administrator to manage and optimize our Linux-based infrastructure in Sunnyvale. This hands-on role requires deep expertise in Linux systems administration, security, and automation to support our mission-critical cybersecurity applications.
Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL)
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability.
  • Implement security best practices, including firewalls (iptables, firewalld), SELinux, and user access controls.
  • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards (e.g., SOC 2, NIST).
  • Develop scripts (Bash, Python) to automate system tasks and deployments.

Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of hands-on Linux administration experience in production environments.
  • Expertise in Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL) and system internals.
  • Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python) for automation.
  • Knowledge of security practices (firewalls, SELinux, encryption) and compliance (SOC 2, NIST).
  • Experience with configuration management (Ansible, Puppet) and monitoring tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills for a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications (e.g., RHCE, LPIC, CompTIA Linux+).
