Job description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior D365 Systems Administrator to join a global Microsoft Dynamics 365 Operations team. This role is critical in ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of a cloud-based ERP environment supporting global business operations.

You will take ownership of complex functional areas within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O), act as a senior escalation point for system issues, and lead initiatives that enhance system reliability and efficiency. This position combines hands-on technical expertise with functional ERP knowledge, stakeholder collaboration, and operational leadership.

Requirements

ERP System Support & Stability
  • Act as a senior escalation point for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations platform issues.
  • Ensure the stable and uninterrupted operation of core business systems supporting global operations.
  • Lead functional investigations during system outages and incidents, identifying root causes and proposing immediate workarounds to maintain business continuity.
  • Conduct detailed root cause analysis for recurring or complex system issues and define long-term corrective actions.Functional Ownership & System Configuration
    • Take ownership of complex functional areas within D365 F&O, including (but not limited to) Order-to-Cash and Advanced Warehouse Management.
    • Maintain, configure, and optimise ERP system functionality to ensure alignment with business requirements.
    • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to evaluate and implement configuration changes that improve system performance and stability.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

    • Identify opportunities to improve system efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
    • Proactively contribute to system optimisation initiatives and internal knowledge sharing practices.
    • Challenge existing processes and drive enhancements to improve overall ERP functionality and user experience.
    • Support the development and maintenance of best practices and operational documentation.

Project & Delivery Management

    • Lead functional workstreams and sub-projects from initiation through to delivery.
    • Manage deliverables, timelines, dependencies, and coordination with internal teams and external partners.
    • Ensure successful implementation of system enhancements and functional changes.
    • Support cross-functional ERP initiatives within a global transformation environment.

Stakeholder Collaboration

    • Work closely with senior technical teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.
    • Translate business requirements into functional system solutions and improvements.
    • Facilitate discussions to align system capabilities with operational and strategic business needs.
    • Act as a trusted advisor on D365 functional capabilities and system optimisation.

Incident Management & On-Call Support

Required Qualifications

    • Proven experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O).

    • Hands-on knowledge of functional ERP processes such as Order-to-Cash and Warehouse Management.
