We are currently seeking a Principal Linux Systems Administrator, based in Huntsville, AL will be working onsite in a highly collaborative, multi-platform and multi-disciplined environment. The Systems Administrator is required to have an active secret security clearance as they will be responsible for deploying and maintaining classified IT infrastructures. The candidate's day-to-day activities include but are not limited to: RedHat Linux server management; storage management; file server management; access management; data backup; software and license configuration; and workstation support. Each day in the life of a Systems Administrator can bring something new - building a new IT infrastructure for a group of engineers, strategizing disaster recovery, updating virus definitions and security patches, teaming with our brilliant engineers on how to improve their processes, and more. Responsibilities to Anticipate: * Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Redhat Enterprise Linux, and Microsoft Windows. * Experience with Linux fundamentals and Windows Server internals to include Ansible, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, AD, and server replication methods. * Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS). * Experience with data RAID, data backup uses and technologies. Install and configure software applications requested by end users. * Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned. * Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date. * Must be able to develop solutions and documentation to solve a variety of technical problems. * Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours. * Travel is required to other US Domestic locations as business needs dictate up to 10% travel. * Full time 100% Onsite position. Qualifications You Must Have : * Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience, or master's degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience. * Must have an active and in-scope US DoD secret clearance. The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
