Job description

Job Summary:
Cymertek Corporation is a trusted federal contractor offering consulting services in information technology and cybersecurity. They are seeking a dedicated Linux Systems Administrator to manage and maintain their Linux-based infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers
• Monitor system performance and ensure uptime
• Manage user accounts and permissions
• Troubleshoot and resolve server issues
• Implement and maintain security updates
• Create and maintain system documentation
Qualifications:
Required:
• TS/SCI Full Poly clearance (requires full U.S. Citizenship)
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or related field
• Proficiency with Linux command-line tools
• Experience with shell scripting
• Knowledge of server virtualization
• Familiarity with configuration management tools
• Understanding of file systems and storage
• Ability to monitor system logs effectively
• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers
• Monitor system performance and ensure uptime
• Manage user accounts and permissions
• Troubleshoot and resolve server issues
• Implement and maintain security updates
• Create and maintain system documentation
Preferred:
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
• Experience with containerization tools (e.g., Docker)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP)
• Knowledge of security hardening practices
• Experience with high-availability environments
