Our team is responsible for the Linux workstation infrastructure used by software developers across multiple R&D organizations. We are driving automation initiatives to improve security, compliance and operational efficiency.
As a working student, you will contribute to the design and implementation of automation solutions for Linux user management and identity lifecycle processes. You will work with experienced engineers from our Workstation Team on real infrastructure projects involving Linux, Identity Management (FreeIPA/LDAP), workflow automation and web-based self-service solutions.
Your work will directly help reduce manual administration effort and improve the scalability of Linux user management within our R&D environment.
Your Responsibilities:
- Support the design and implementation of automation solutions for Linux user management
- Develop tools and scripts for Linux user lifecycle processes
- Integrate Linux user management with FreeIPA and LDAP services
- Implement automated reporting and notification workflows
- Contribute to the development of web-based self-service solutions
- Analyze existing user management processes and identify automation opportunities
- Test, validate and document developed solutions
- Collaborate with software and infrastructure engineers within the Workstation Team
Technical Skills:
- Good Linux knowledge
- Programming experience in at least one programming or scripting language
- Interest in Linux system administration and automation
- Interest in Identity Management (LDAP, FreeIPA, Active Directory)
- Basic understanding of web technologies is beneficial
- Basic understanding of REST APIs is beneficial
