Job description

Job Summary:
Raytheon is a leader in defense and aerospace technology, and they are seeking a Senior Analyst for High Performance Computing Administration. The role involves providing HPC administration in a heterogeneous environment, troubleshooting technical problems, and ensuring security compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.
• Help develop and implement new technologies based upon industry best practices.
• Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems at a moderate scope and complexity to include the integration of High-Performance Computing hardware, software, and operating systems (OS).
• Understanding utilizing software tools, automated scripts, batch schedulers, hardware, and system-level troubleshooting, to lead and support the engineering community.
• Perform OS tuning to maximize system performance on high performance computing systems. Work across DT functions to standardize processes and procedures.
• Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security compliance requirements.
• Provide documentation and training on advanced DT HPC processes and procedures. Be a mentor to junior team members.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience in Windows and/or Linux Server Environments including directory services management, and system hardening.
• Experience maintaining a medium sized Microsoft Windows Server environment.
• Must be able to obtain required Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification) within 6 months of hire date.
Preferred:
• Experience with High Performance Computing scheduling and monitoring tools highly desired.
• Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment.
• Experience in project leadership, management, or project management in a DT domain and basic to advance scripting experience.
• An active DoD Top-Secret Clearance.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Windows and Unix security hardening, systems integrations, advanced troubleshooting, and authentication service integration (LDAP).
• Unix (Including Linux and Solaris), experience in a medium to high complex environment(s).
• Working knowledge of High-Performance Computing scheduling and monitoring tools such as SLURM, Grid Engine and Ganglia.
