Cross Domain Solution Support Linux Engineer, Senior
The Opportunity:
Your combination of people skills and system administrator knowledge makes you the team hero, solving one problem after another. What if you could use those skills to improve the technology supporting DoW mission systems? We're looking for a system administrator with experience managing Linux systems to help us maintain critical infrastructure used to generate and maintain environmental intelligence and data supporting fleet safety.
As a system administrator on our team, you'll help ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Navy met eorological and oceanographic data through the maintenance, cyber hardening, and configuration of critical IT systems, in particular to include cross-domain solutions ( CDS ) . You'll help clients overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management. Your knowledge will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. Your communication skills will come in handy as you turn met rics into information and articulate their meaning.
This is an opportunity to gain experience in managing IT infrastructure supporting the transfer of petabytes of data used for high-performance computing. We focus on growing as a team, so we'll share techniques, work through challenges, and develop new met hodologies together. Work with us and resolve daily challenges as we improve the safety and effectiveness of DoW missions.

You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience administering Red Hat Linux Systems in a moderate-to-large enterprise data center setting
  • 3+ years of experience conducting cybersecurity hardening and system maintenance in accord with Federal or DoW RMF cybersecurity accreditation and authorization requirements
  • Experience supporting IT systems in a classified environment
  • Knowledge of Apache NiFi, its sof tware components, and configuration
  • Top Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Systems administration certification such as COMPTIA Security+ CE

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience managing and on-premise configuring cross-domain solution ( CDS ) hardware and sof tware
  • Experience with Everfox High-Speed Guard ( HGS ) and Everfox T rus ted Gateway Solutions ( TGS ) systems
  • TS/SCI clearance

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
