Collins Aerospace has an immediate career growth opportunity with our DT - Information Workplace Services team for a talented Principal Systems Administrator / Analyst. You will collaborate with a team of DT professionals to support fast-paced, critical programs with classified information system capabilities; develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient 24x7 environments across various classified programs; define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems.
** This is an Onsite role is based in Marlborough, MA and eligible for relocation assistance.**
What YOU will do:
  • Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment supporting Windows Server internals and/or Linux fundamentals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.
  • Working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).
  • Using data RAID and data backup technologies; installation an configuration of software applications; work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Minimum 5 years of direct hands-on Linux administration experience and systems analysis / administration / networking experience with combinations of technologies such as: Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, Veeam, MySQL, Remote Desktop Gateway, Splunk, Windows and Linux administration; experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery.
  • Experience supporting Linux Server architectures to include troubleshooting solutions and documentation of technical problems / actions.
  • Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government DoD Secret security clearance is required .
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
